Mathematics, St. Edward's University

1105 0St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic university with a current enrollment of approximately 4,700 students. The university has a long history of encouraging a variety of cultural backgrounds that has led to a widely diverse community. The campus is located on a hilltop overlooking Austin, the capital city of Texas with a population of 650,000 in the central Texas hill country. The school was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross and chartered in 1885. St. Edward's is a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. As part of the School of Natural Sciences, the Department of Mathematics is housed in the state-of-the-art John Brooks Williams Science Complex completed in 2013, and offers B.A. and B.S. degrees as well as a minor in mathematics. We have recently partnered with several institutions to offer the first part of a 3+2 math/engineering dual degree.
