Applications are invited for an Academic Education Pathway (AEP) Lectureship in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Statistics, or a closely related area, and teaching expertise in some area of Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics or Statistics. They should have the potential to lead improvements in the student experience across the department and influence our educational offering in these areas. As an AEP Lecturer you will strengthen the reputation, culture and ambitions of the department and wider institution by: - Delivering an excellent student experience through innovative teaching and assessment methods for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes; - Providing supervision to Postgraduate Students on one of our MSc programmes: Complex Systems Modelling, Financial Mathematics, Theoretical Physics or Statistics (proposed); - Undertaking a self-directed programme of scholarship, which might be education-related, at a level commensurate with the current international standards of excellence within the department; - Promoting the reputation of the department through scholarship and other externally-facing activities; - Enthusiastically contributing to academic management, and supporting the administration and organisation of the department to further its education activities and ambitions. The post is available from January 2022 and is located at the Strand Campus of King’s College London. This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
