Your mission :

The Institute of Mathematics of the School of Basic Sciences at the EPFL invites applications for a Scientific Collaborator / Statistical Consultant, who will:
  • Lead the newly established Statistical Consulting platform to aid researchers across the campus and beyond.
  • Contribute to the administration of the new Statistics MSc at EPFL.
  • Offer statistics courses at various levels.
The successful candidate will:
  • be a highly-motivated individual able to take initiatives, and with the drive to establish the statistical consulting service as a valuable resource on/beyond the campus,
  • have the capacity and desire to develop and teach statistics courses at all levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), 
  • possess the organisational skills to help administer the new Statistics MSc at EPFL.
Your profile:
  • PhD in statistics or a closely related subject.
  • Broad experience of the application of statistical methods in scientific and technological environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, and the ability to teach courses in English and French at all university levels.

  • The initial position will be time-limited, with the possibility of a permanent appointment after four years, subject to a successful evaluation.
