Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mathematics

POSITION: Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Instructional Academic Staff), Mathematics, 100% academic year renewable appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Title of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer determined by qualifications and experience.


 Teach 15 credits

 Advise undergraduates

 Serve on departmental and university-wide committees


 Master’s degree in mathematics, math education, or closely related field earned by August 26, 2019

 Ability to teach an array of undergraduate mathematics courses

 Ability to teach using alternative formats (including online)


 Demonstrated success in teaching college-level mathematics

 Ability to teach introductory computer science courses

 Additional degree in a related field (i.e., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

 Expertise in current best practices in math pedagogy

 Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development in best practices in teaching and learning, including use of alternative delivery formats.
