Applications are invited for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August, 2010. A Ph.D. in statistics is expected; expertise in computational statistics is preferred. The department has 20 full-time faculty members in mathematics, computer science, and statistics. We offer a multidisciplinary Master's program in computational mathematics as well as undergraduate majors in mathematics and computer science. The typical teaching load in the department is six courses per academic year, with a 2-2 load during the first year. Possible course reductions and a pre-tenure sabbatical are available to support research. Tenure-track faculty members are expected to perform well both in the classroom and as researchers. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the university mission and to respect the university's Spiritan Catholic identity.
