The Department of Mathematics in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Missouri State University seeks a tenure-track (9-month) Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will have a well-defined research program in mathematics that will enhance current department research interests, be committed to innovative teaching, and have post-doctoral experience.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have (or anticipate completion by August 2022) a doctoral degree in mathematics, exhibit strong potential for research, exhibit evidence of excellence in teaching, commitment to service and professional activities, and exhibit effective oral and written communication skills. Applicants must demonstrate a desire and ability to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds and this needs to be indicated in the letter of application.
Duties: The teaching of mathematics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level; curriculum development; engaging in research leading to peer-reviewed publications; supervising student research/projects; service to the Department of Mathematics, College of Natural and Applied Science, Missouri State University, and the local/regional community and the profession.
