MTRI (www.mtri.org) is seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious professional interested in conducting cutting-edge research in statistical signal processing and remote sensing. Individuals will be developing an externally supported research portfolio while supporting multiple projects for government and commercial customers. This position requires collaboration with senior engineers and scientists to research, design, and evaluate algorithms for various signal- and image-processing applications involving a variety of sensing phenomena. A successful candidate will have a solid background in applied mathematics, statistics, and signal processing. An ideal candidate would have prior experience writing scientific software and applying such software tools to applications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements) PhD degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar related field, and 1 year related research experience either as part of degree program or post-degree. OR Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar related field, and 2 years related research experience either as part of degree program or post-degree.
