The AGM Research Center in Mathematics of CY Cergy Paris University seeks candidates for two postdoctoral positions. They will be funded by the European Research Council starting grant FloWAS, whose P.I. is Charles Collot. The tentative start date is September 1, 2024. Each postdoctoral position is for three years. No teaching duties are expected. The postdoctoral fellow will receive a salary of around 2700 euros per month net after taxes, including health and welfare insurance. They will receive additional funding for their travels from the FloWAS ERC project. The position is open to holders of a PhD in mathematics. The candidates are expected to have a strong experience in the analysis of partial differential equations. The research topic of the postdoc will be on issues of long time dynamics and singularity formation, for waves, fluids, or reaction-diffusion equations. They will work under the guidance of Charles Collot. The exact topic will depend on the applicant, and will be determined jointly with Charles Collot. Located in the Paris area, the AGM center gathers researchers working in geometric analysis, mathematical physics, partial differential equations and probability, with whom the candidates will be able to interact. Complete applications should include a detailed curriculum vitae with a list of publications, and a research statement. In addition, they should arrange for letters of recommendation. The application deadline is December 31, 2023. |
