TITLE: Assistant Professor in Applied Analysis

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Applied Analysis to begin in August 2023. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in mathematics completed by the appointment date. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate excellence in teaching and research.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers academic programs that lead to Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics. It has over 18 full-time faculty members whose expertise covers the essential topics in applied mathematics. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in funded research.
