Baldwin-Wallace College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics to begin August 2010. We seek demonstrated excellence in teaching with the ability to achieve student learning in a wide spectrum of undergraduate courses, from quantitative reasoning through calculus and upper division courses for majors. The successful candidate will contribute to the department and the College in additional ways such as academic advising and recruiting, as well as maintaining a program of professional growth.

Preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to student learning, collaborative program building and a willingness to support the College’s general education program. Applicants should hold or expect to receive a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely allied discipline by August 2010. A demonstrated track-record of working with students, colleagues, and community members that offer and bring multicultural and intercultural perspectives related to the mathematics community.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers majors in both areas, and is currently home to a total of eleven full-time faculty members. The Mathematics program is described at http://www.bw.edu/academics/mth/.

Baldwin-Wallace College is a private liberal arts and sciences college located 14 miles southwest of Cleveland’s Public Square.
