The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Colorado College announces a tenure-track statistics position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2018. Applicants must have completed or be completing a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or other related field. The department values both depth and breadth in the statistical sciences, innovative teaching methods, and mentoring undergraduate research. Applicants must be committed to teaching broadly in their field in a liberal arts environment.

Colorado College is a leading national liberal arts college with a distinctive academic calendar called the Block Plan, in which students take one course at a time. Our residential college is located in Colorado Springs, located one-hour south of Denver at the base of Pikes Peak, offering many recreational and cultural activities.

The position will consist of teaching five regular courses per year, as well as thesis supervision and/or extended-format courses. The college supports active scholarship via a generous sabbatical program, travel to conferences, and internal grant opportunities.
