The Department of Mathematics is seeking to hire a tenure track Assistant Professor in Mathematics starting Fall 2018.

Position Description (responsibilities/duties) The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong commitment to high-quality research in topology. The candidate must also be dedicated to the teaching and mentoring of students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. In addition, the candidate must be actively engaged in service to the department, college, university and mathematical community. The starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.

Qualifications Required: 1. An earned doctorate in mathematics. 2. Potential for research excellence in Topology. 3. Potential for teaching excellence. 4. A strong preparation in mathematics. 5. An ability to contribute to departmental missions.

Preferred: An applicant who shows potential for research collaboration with current faculty in Topology.

Worth, are within four hours. Round Rock, a city of 107,456 residents is located 15 miles north of Austin in the Central Texas Hill Country.
