| Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) offers a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Mathematics Department beginning in August, 2010, pending budgetary approval. A doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics, or math education (any area of specialization will be considered) and a strong commitment to quality teaching and research/scholarship are required. Prior teaching experience is preferred. The Department of Mathematics offers the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences with emphases in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and math education. The standard teaching load per semester is 12 credit hours. Teaching duties encompass a range of undergraduate courses. There is currently support during the summer for teaching and/or supervising undergraduate research. AASU is part of the University System of Georgia and enrolls approximately 7500 students. The modern 250-acre campus is located twelve miles south of the historic district of Savannah.
