Director, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion The American Mathematical Society (AMS) is a nonprofit membership society dedicated to advancing research and connecting the diverse global mathematical community through our publications, meetings and conferences, MathSciNet®, professional services, advocacy, and awareness programs. Society offices are located in Providence RI (headquarters), Pawtucket, RI, Ann Arbor, MI, and Washington, DC. The Director of Equity, Diversity, and
Inclusion (EDI) provides professional expertise, strategic leadership, administrative
oversight, and collaborative guidance within the AMS and to the mathematics
profession more broadly. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the
Director of EDI will work closely with AMS leadership and serve as a member of
select committees. A successful Director of EDI will play a key role in
facilitating measurable, effective change in advancing equity, diversity, and
inclusion at the AMS and within the mathematics discipline. RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is envisioned as a full-time position
operating out of AMS headquarters in Providence, RI or our offices in either
Ann Arbor Michigan or Washington DC, although we are willing to consider
creative alternative approaches to enable the selected individual to maintain
