NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY The Department of Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics at Northwestern University (http://www.esam.northwestern.edu) invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics. This is a one-year, non-tenure-track position with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Duties involve teaching and research in applied mathematics with a focus on applications in engineering and/or the sciences. More information about this position can be found at: https://www.mccormick.northwestern.edu/applied-math/open-positions.html The Department seeks outstanding candidates who have received a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics, engineering, physics or another applied math-related discipline, or who expect to do so by July 2022, and who aspire to engage in independent and interdisciplinary research and teaching. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. degree in 2019 or later. The starting date is September 1, 2022.
