The Mathematics Department at Augsburg College invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position to begin Fall 2010. Funding for this position is approved for at least two years. However, annual renewal of this contract is subject to review of the candidate’s performance.

Candidates should enjoy teaching a wide range of undergraduate courses in mathematics, have a strong commitment to student learning, and demonstrate excellence in teaching. Ability to teach introductory statistics is a plus. A PhD or ABD in mathematics or related area, or a Master’s degree in mathematics or related area with significant secondary or college level teaching experience required.

The annual teaching load is typically six courses per year, and may include evening or weekend assignments. Other responsibilities include service to the department and college, and continued professional activity.
