Applications are invited for a visiting professorship position at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor) in the Department of Mathematics at Brigham Young University to begin 1 January 2017. The department has a strong commitment to undergraduate education and has a substantial doctoral program. Candidates will be evaluated on evidence of excellent teaching and potential to make significant research contributions. Applications in all areas of mathematics are welcome. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled, but applications received before August 31, 2016 will receive full consideration.

Qualifications: PhD in mathematics; demonstrated excellence in teaching; demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality mathematical research.

Duties and responsibilities: Teaching mathematics at the undergraduate and graduate level; conducting independent research; mentoring students at the PhD, master's, and undergraduate levels; supporting university, college, and department goals and missions.
