Postdoctoral Position
A postdoctoral position is available starting 1 July, 2010 in Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University.
The project is concerned with rare event simulation principally for complicated systems from chemistry, physics, and biology. It involves both computational and theoretical aspects of various fast simulation techniques, including importance sampling, branching methods, and interacting particle systems. The candidate has to have a good background in stochastic analysis and strong numerical skills.
