| The department of Mathematics at The City College of New York (CUNY) is seeking a Lecturer. Duties will consist of teaching 27 contact hours per year
(averaging 13.5 instructional contact hours per week each semester), primarily in introductory level undergraduate mathematics courses. Lecturers are expected to assist in curricular development and outcomes assessment for the department’s introductory level courses, including the use of technology in supporting instruction, and to participate in appropriate departmental committees, student advisement and adjunct staff supervision. Reappointment in this position for five years confers a CUNY Certificate of Continuous Employment.
N.B.: this is a full time teaching position, not a research and teaching position, nor a postdoctoral position.
M.A. /M.S. in mathematics, Ph.D. preferred, and at least 2 years experience teaching mathematics at the college level. Evidence of and commitment to excellence in teaching.
