C.W. Post College of Long Island University is located on a rural 307-acre campus 25 miles from midtown Manhattan. Founded in 1954, we offer 250 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs in a wide variety of fields to 8,000 residential and commuter students. The Mathematics Department consists of twelve full-time members with research interests in topological groups, probability theory, differential geometry, number theory, dynamical systems, computer graphics, real analysis, numerical analysis, abstract algebra, combinatorics, algebraic topology, and the history of mathematics. Many of our faculty have active research relationships with other major universities in the New York metropolitan area and beyond. We offer several Bachelor's and Master’s degree programs, some in combination with other departments and schools of the University.
