DPMMS invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship to pursue research within the areas of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Fellows are required to pursue their research on a full-time basis in Cambridge.

The Fellowship is intended to enable an outstanding and highly motivated scholar to pursue their individual programme of research. The Fellow will have a Departmental mentor, and will typically contribute to one of the existing research groups in the Department. The primary duty of the Fellow is to pursue research.

There is a teaching obligation of one course per year (typically 24 hours lecturing at either undergraduate or Masters level, possibly with associated examples classes and examining duties). Fellows may also have the opportunity to supervise student research projects. Preference may be given to candidates whose experience and area of expertise align with current teaching needs in the department.

The Fellowship is to be held from 1 October 2022 or otherwise by negotiation. The Fellowship is available for up to three years. The stipend will be on the University's Postdoctoral Research Associate scale, currently between £33,309 - £40,927 per annum. In addition, the Fellow will have access to an annual research allowance of £5,000.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
