| Applications are invited for a position as Lecturer (non tenure track) in the Department of Mathematics at Duke University. Candidates should have completed a doctorate as of August 1, 2009 and have excellent teaching credentials. The appointment is for two years and is subsequently
renewable for periods of 2-5 years; it begins on August 1, 2009.
The teaching load will be four courses per semester or the equivalent. Typically this will be realized as three courses plus two calculus labs per semester. In addition to teaching, Lecturers are expected to participate in the Department's curriculum development and in the administration of the freshmen and sophomore mathematics program.
