Applications are invited for a Griffiths Assistant Research Professor in Mathematics. Candidates should have completed a doctorate as of August 1, 2021 and show definite promise in research and teaching. The teaching load will typically be one course each semester, so that the appointee will have ample time for research. The exact load will depend on the candidate's background and conditions at the time of employment.

The appointment begins August 1, 2021 for two years and may be renewed for a third year, based on funding and performance.

Candidates interested in working with Prof. Jianfeng Lu or with a background in electronic structure theory, quantum chemistry, quantum dynamics, or quantum computing are particularly encouraged to apply.

The applicant should request at least four letters of recommendation, including one that evaluates the applicant's teaching.
