The George Mason University, Center for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (CMAI) and Department of Mathematical Sciences, invites well-qualified candidates to apply for a twelve-month Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. Responsibilities: This position entails working directly with Dr. Harbir Antil. Some of the current research interests in the group are: algorithms for optimization problems governed by large-scale physical models given by partial differential equations (PDEs), optimization under uncertainty, fractional PDEs, inverse problems, dimensionality reduction, deep learning, and applications. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of yearly extensions depending on the availability of funds.
