| Reporting to the department chair, these positions center on strengthening the department’s undergraduate course offerings and will include a workload of 15 hours per semester in Core Curriculum courses with a commitment to innovative methods of instruction and professional development in the area of teaching. Each position is a 9-month non-tenure track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications: • Earned doctorate or master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, statistics or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate level course credit in the mathematical sciences by August 1, 2011. • Evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate education. • Demonstrated effectiveness in mathematics instruction. • Good command of written and spoken English.
