The Department of Mathematics at Louisiana State University invites applications for anticipated Postdoctoral Researcher positions in mathematics. Positions are contingent on NSF VIGRE or other available funding. Applications are invited for positions in the areas of geometric analysis, geometry and topology, algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, and combinatorics. The teaching duties are the equivalent of one course each semester. Required Qualifications: Ph.D or equivalent degree in mathematics or a related area. Additional Qualifications Desired: Mathematicians with potential for research excellence; commitment to graduate and undergraduate education. Application deadline is February 1, 2008, or until candidates are selected. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
