Postdoctoral ResearcherDepartment of Mathematics/Center for Computation and TechnologyThe Department of Mathematics at Louisiana State University in partnership with the Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) invites applications for NSF VIGRE Postdoctoral Researcher positions in mathematics. The CCT supports research in the computational sciences across disciplines, including computational mathematics, computer science, nanotechnologies, astrophysics and relativity, fluid dynamics, bio-informatics, and others. Applications are invited for postdoctoral researcher(s) in Scientific Computing/Numerical Analysis. The teaching duties are the equivalent of one course each semester. Required Qualifications: Ph.D or equivalent degree in mathematics or a related area. Additional Qualifications Desired: Candidates should be mathematical scientists, who have potential for research excellence; commitment to graduate and undergraduate education. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2009, but applications will be accepted and reviewed until candidates are selected.
