The Department of Mathematics is seeking applications to fill one or more non-tenure-track postdoctoral researcher positions. The positions will begin in the fall semester of 2023.

Research in mathematics of a nature and quality leading eventually to publication of papers in research journals and/or advanced level books; maintenance of expertise. Teaching of Mathematics at all University levels in a manner that is in keeping with Departmental policy; participation in other educational and professional tasks of the Department and University.

Duties Include: 75% Performs research in any area of Mathematics of interest to the departmental faculty of a nature and quality leading eventually to publication in research journals, and/or advanced level books.

25% Teaching of Mathematics at all University levels in a manner that is in keeping with Departmental policy; participation in other educational and professional tasks of the Department and University.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or equivalent degree in the mathematical sciences or a closely related field. A.B.D. candidates will be considered, but must have PhD by August 15, 2023.

Preferred Qualifications: Research excellence as well as commitment to graduate and undergraduate education; outstanding candidates in all fields of mathematics will be considered.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An offer of employment is contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment background check. The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on November 1, 2022, and will continue to review applications until the positions are filled.
