Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for a postdoctoral position starting in August 2018. This position is for one year, renewable once for a maximum of two years, and is not a tenure-track position. Salary and benefits are competitive. The potential for excellence in teaching and research is essential. Strong potential for obtaining external funding is desirable.

Candidates are required to have an earned doctorate in the mathematical or statistical sciences, or in a related field, by August 2018.  The field of research is open, but the desired qualifications include having a documented research record in an area that meshes with the research interests of a current faculty member or group of faculty members (see  In their cover letter, applicants should identify a faculty member or research group of interest for collaboration, and explain how their research can both benefit from, and enhance, our research endeavors.

A complete application includes a cover letter of application, at least three letters of recommendation, a curriculum vitae, a research statement, a teaching statement, a publication list. The Department of Mathematics & Statistics has active B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs with 36 graduate students, 28 of which are at the doctoral level. The department has 20 tenure and tenure- track faculty and 5 non-tenure-track faculty. See department details at
