Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications for an 18-month term position to teach Mathematics and Statistics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates working in statistics or applied mathematics.

The successful candidate will teach six undergraduate courses in mathematics (two courses per term, in the Winter 2019, Fall 2019, and Winter 2020 terms). Courses for the Winter 2019 term are Math 1251 (Finite Mathematics) and Math 3031 (History of Mathematics). Courses for the 2019-2020 academic year are yet to be determined, but will include statistics and/or applied mathematics courses. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on January 1, 2019, subject to budgetary approval.
