Our Profile

Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position in Mathematics within the Research Training Group   Energy, Entropy, and Dissipative Dynamics (EDDy) at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), starting January 2023 or as soon as possible.

The postdoctoral researcher supported by the RTG will have an outstanding research and training opportunity. Positioned at the cutting edge of hot topics in applied and numerical analysis related to energy, entropy, and dissipation, the postdoctoral researcher will jointly identify and tackle problems in consultation with the PIs. They will explore questions that are close enough to their doctoral training to get off to a good „running start,“ but far enough away from their past training so that they will develop a new and significant research direction. The goal is to prepare the postdoctoral researcher for a future academic post.

The position is funded by   German Research Foundation (DFG)

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated, excellent candidate with strong mathematical skills and interest in applied mathematics. Applicants must hold a university degree (Master or equivalent) and a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field.
