Subject to availability of funding, the Mathematics
Department expects one opening at the level of Tenure-Track Assistant
Professor, with the possibility a higher
level position in exceptional cases. Department priorities include Discrete Mathematics. We will consider
outstanding candidates in any field of Mathematics. Candidates must have a PhD
and have a strong record of research accomplishments in pure or applied
mathematics as well as effective teaching. The normal teaching load for
research-active faculty is 2-1. Applications submitted by November 1, 2021 will receive full consideration. Applications after that date will be accepted but may not receive full consideration. The application to the Rutgers job requires fewer documents than is
required for the mathjobs application; in particular recommendation letters
should only be submitted to the mathjobs site. For the mathjobs application: the AMS Cover Sheet must be
filled out completely. Make sure that you include the AMS Subject
Classification number of your area(s) of specialization (2-digit codes).
Applicants should submit: A curriculum vitae (including a publication list) A research statement (of up to about 5 pages) a teaching statement. Arrange for four letters of reference to be submitted, one
