Candidates are sought for two Postdoctoral Research Fellow Positions:

Research Fellow (Random Structures)
Monash University, Australia
School of Mathematical Sciences

Candidates are sought for a position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Mathematical Sciences. The position requires experience in random graphs, probabilistic combinatorics, asymptotic enumeration or related areas of combinatorics or discrete probability. A PhD in a relevant discipline is needed.

As the successful appointee, you will conduct research at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Monash University, under the guidance of Professor Nick Wormald and Dr Jane Gao. The research will cover topics related to an ARC Discovery project on uniform generation of large discrete structures. Monash University currently has an active combinatorics group which also includes Professor Graham Farr, Professor Ian Wanless, Professor David Wood, Dr Anita Liebenau, Dr Daniel Horsley and Dr Kerri Morgan.

To be considered you will have a PhD in discrete mathematics or related discipline, familiarity with random graphs, discrete random processes, or asymptotic enumeration, supported by a proven ability to perform collaborative research, and the potential to publish in high-quality journals.

This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Applications must be made via the Monash website and must address the selection criteria.
