The Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago invites applications for the position of William H. Kruskal Instructor. We seek recent or expected Ph.D. graduates doing advanced research with a connection to applied mathematics, computational mathematics, statistical methodology and applications, machine learning, or data science. Kruskal Instructor responsibilities include teaching up to three quarter-long courses per year in statistics or related fields, and engagement in independent research. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Qualifications 

Completion of all requirements for the Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field by the time of hire.
