| Applications are invited for a senior faculty position, at the Full Professor level, beginning Fall 2008 or later. The successful candidate is expected to: (1) Have a strong and well-established research program. (2) Be a well-recognized member of the profession, as evidenced, for example, by awards, speaking invitations, and/or editorial work.(3) Have a longstanding and continuing history of significant external research funding. (4) Be an excellent teacher at the graduate and undergraduate level, able to develop new programs and courses for our students. (5) Have a successful record of supervising Ph.D. students. (6) Be qualified and ready to play a leadership role in the development of our department.
Preference will be given to applicants with research interests in the following two areas: (A) Computational Partial Differential Equations, and (B) Geometry. However, exceptionally strong candidates in other fields will also be considered.
