The Mathematics Department at Tulane University invites applications for a Professor of Practice (PoP) in Mathematics to begin in the Fall of 2024. The PoP is a renewable and promotable non-tenured full time academic year teaching position with a 3-year initial appointment. It carries a teaching load of three courses per semester. The position has a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with the candidate's qualifications. Faculty promoted to Senior PoP serve renewable 5-year terms. The successful candidate will be expected to: (1) teach a variety of introductory Mathematics and Statistics courses; (2) coordinate the Calculus and Long Calculus sequences; (3) advise undergraduate and graduate students who are taking or teaching these courses; and (4) perform some level of faculty services.
