Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of California, Los Angeles

The UCLA Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department has 29 faculty with strengths in population ecology, evolutionary and conservation genomics, behavioral biology, plant biology, and phylogenetics and paleobiology. EEB also features a large graduate program, three undergraduate majors (Biology; Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution; Marine Biology), and two minors (Conservation Biology and Evolutionary Medicine). EEB faculty have affiliations or close ties with the Institute for Quantitative and Computational Biosciences and the Institute of Environment and Sustainability, the David Geffen School of Medicine, and the Fielding School of Public Health. EEB is also closely associated with UCLA’s La Kretz Center for California Conservation Sciences, Stunt Ranch UC Reserve, the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden, the Donald R. Dickey Collection of Birds and Mammals, and the Center for Education and Innovation and Learning in the Sciences.
