The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at UC Santa Barbara is searching for qualified candidates for visiting faculty positions for the 2016-2017 academic year (with possibility of renewal for a second year).

A full year appointment carries a teaching load of 5 one-quarter courses per year. Applicants must demonstrate or show strong promise for undergraduate teaching, research and interaction with faculty at UC Santa Barbara. The Department is especially looking for candidates trained to teach undergraduate-level (i) statistics (ii) probability and stochastic processes or (iii) actuarial courses. Interested candidates should apply by submitting CV, a teaching statement, and have three letters of reference sent (at least one letter should describe teaching accomplishments). The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.

Review will begin on January 15, 2016 and continue until positions are filled.
