Assistant Professor Roozbeh Gharakhloo in the Mathematics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position, Postdoctoral Scholar in Analysis.
We are seeking a candidate with a demonstrated record of published research (including Ph.D. thesis) whose research interests align with those of Professor Gharakhloo. Broadly, these include Riemann-Hilbert problems, analysis of orthogonal polynomials and structured determinants (e.g. Toeplitz, Hankel, etc.), and their applications in other research areas such as Random Matrix Theory and Mathematical Physics. The selected candidate will conduct research in one or more of the above fields and will collaborate with Professor Gharakhloo, other faculty members, and graduate students. Highly motivated candidates who possess strong communication skills and who work well both independently and collaboratively are strongly encouraged to apply.
