| DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS, UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, NOTRE DAME, IN 46556
The Department of Mathematics of the University of Notre Dame invites applications from
recent doctorates (since 2010) in mathematical logic for a postdoctoral position.
Candidates in any area of mathematical logic compatible with the research interests of
the logicians in the department will be considered. The position is contingent upon the
availability of funding and, if funded, will extend for a term of three years beginning
August 22, 2011. It is not renewable and is not tenure track; the teaching load is one
course per semester. The salary will be competitive with those of distinguished
instructorships at other AMS Group I universities, and the position includes summer
research support for each of the first two summers and some discretionary funding each
year. Applications, including a curriculum vitae and a completed AMS standard cover
sheet, should be filed through MathJobs (www.MathJobs.org). Applicants should also
arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be submitted through the
MathJobs system. These letters should address the applicant's research accomplishments
and supply evidence that the applicant has the ability to communicate articulately and
teach effectively. Notre Dame is an equal opportunity employer, and we particularly
welcome applications from women and minority candidates. The evaluation of candidates
will begin December 1, 2010. Information about the department is available at
