University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Mathematics Postdoctoral Position in Mathematics

Position: Two three-year, non tenure-track postdoctoral faculty positions in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics, mathematics education, or a closely related field, by the start date. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for excellence in research and have a documented record of excellence in classroom instruction at the college level. Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with the research

Starting Date: August 2023

First Review: Review of applications will begin December 5, 2022 and continue until suitable candidates have been selected.

Duties/Responsibilities: The position is apportioned 60% research, 40% teaching. Teaching duties include teaching three courses per academic year. There will also be opportunities to mentor undergraduate research.

Salary/Benefits: A competitive starting salary will be negotiated. Some travel support is available. UNL makes available reasonably priced life, health, and long-term disability insurance programs along with a faculty retirement plan, which includes significant institutional contribution.
