Paul Olum Postdoctoral Scholar, Department of Mathematics

Up to two non-tenure track, assistant professor appointments at 1.0 FTE (9-month appointment), beginning September 16, 2022 and renewable for up to three years.

Essential Functions: To teach the customary load of four courses for the Mathematics Department and to carry on a program of research in mathematics.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field, an outstanding record of research potential in an area of interest to the department, and evidence of teaching ability.

The Department of Mathematics is a diverse and growing department with strengths in Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Differential Geometry, Geometric Analysis, Mathematical Biology, Number Theory, Topology, and Probability/Statistics. The department has a thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students, 33 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 5 postdocs, and 14 lecturers.
