The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time Instructor position on our main (Tampa) campus starting August 9, 2021. The Instructor will have the equivalent of a 12-hour teaching load and will be primarily teaching mathematics courses to first- and second-year students. The Instructor will be expected to coordinate multiple sections of large-enrollment mathematics courses with a laboratory component. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of Statistics or Mathematics (by August 1, 2021) or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience or otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. and/or experience with instruction and coordination in mathematics courses that have a computer laboratory component.
