The Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington announces the availability of two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to start in September 2023. Candidates with expertise in one or more areas of applied mathematics are encouraged to apply. The department is seeking candidates that complement the current research strengths of the department (in no particular order) in data science, scientific computing and numerical analysis, nonlinear waves and coherent structures, mathematical biology, atmospheric science and climate modeling, applied analysis, stochastic modeling, mathematical finance, and optimization, or bring in new areas of expertise. The department is also seeking candidates who will continue its long tradition of interdisciplinary collaboration. See http://depts.washington.edu/amath/ for more details. Qualifications 
Applicants should hold a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in (applied) mathematics or a related field of application by the start of the appointment. Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of research in a relevant area of applied mathematics.
