Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee The Vanderbilt Department of Mathematics invites applications for a position at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor with tenure. The start date is flexible, with a target of Fall 2022 or later. The position is affiliated with VandyGRAF, Vanderbilt University’s newly formed initiative for GRavity, wAves, and Fluids – a collaborative, interdisciplinary initiative. Vanderbilt University is prepared to generously support the position with competitive resources and conditions. VandyGRAF is a research-focused enterprise that cuts across traditional discipline boundaries by providing mathematicians, physicists, astrophysicists, and data scientists with the resources and space to connect and collaborate on projects of outstanding scientific merit. VandyGRAF is developing into a vibrant entity featuring newly added tenure-track members, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and substantial resources to support initiative-affiliated activities, including dedicated space in a newly renovated building.
