READER, SENIOR LECTURER, LECTURER IN MATHEMATICS (TEACHING & RESEARCH) STOCHASTIC COMPUTING AND RANDOM PROCESSES (FULL OR PART-TIME) (2 POSTS) GRADE 7/8/9

£32,958 - £64,894 pa (or pro rata)

The Department of Mathematical Sciences is creating a new research direction in relation to DIGITAL research, which is recognised as an emerging area of strength at the University www.liverpool.ac.uk/digital. As part of this expansion, we are seeking applications for two posts at lecturer and reader level in the area of Stochastic Computing and Random Processes. You should have a PhD in an area of the Mathematical Sciences with an excellent track record of publications in internationally excellent journals. Experience as principle investigator for external research funding would be desirable. You should have experience in teaching both small and large groups and in the supervision of postgraduate students. You will play a part in the development of a Numerical pathway for our undergraduate teaching of the Department, and you will collaborate with the existing groups for which numerical Mathematics is an integral part of their research.
