Application Description:    

The Center for Computational Mathematics and Applications (CCMA) in the Department of Mathematics at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, is seeking one or two scholars for postdoctoral appointments. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field (such as physics, engineering, computer science). The position requires expertise in numerical methods for partial differential equations with Fortran, C, or C++ programming. Appointed candidates will work closely with the faculty at the CCMA on research related to numerical methods for partial differential equations or big data. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to a number of research projects including the CCMA’s projects supported by the NSF, the DOE and industries. The number of candidates appointed will depend on the availability of funding. These appointments may include the possibility of teaching. This is a non-tenure track 48-week appointment.
