California State University, Fresno (Fresno State) seeks applications for a tenure-track, academic year position (Vacancy #13301; AY 2018/2019) starting at the level as an Assistant Professor, with a preferred specialty in big data analysis and/or high dimensional statistics, to contribute to the statistics program within the department.  In some circumstances, exceptional faculty at higher ranks may be considered.  The successful candidate will engage in teaching, supervising, and advising undergraduate/graduate students; conduct scholarly research in Statistics or Biostatistics that lead to peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and external grant submissions; and be involved in services at all levels of university governance and to the community.  Teaching duties include statistics and mathematics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level and specific assignments will depend on departmental needs and candidate expertise.
