The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Applied Mathematics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a subset of our applied mathematics courses as well as introductory computer science courses (see p.172 of the academic calendar here for the list of mathematics courses). Candidates with a background in Modeling or Differential Equations are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate is expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program. Candidates are encouraged to indicate faculty at Mount Allison, within Mathematics and Computer Science or in other departments, with whom they might develop research collaborations.

The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2018, subject to budgetary approval.
