Position Description:    

The Mathematics Department at North Carolina State University invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Financial Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching mission of the department giving particular support to courses for the Master of Financial Mathematics (MFM) Program.

The successful candidate is expected to teach MFM courses on topics include but not limited to financial calculus, financial computation (Monte Carlo, C++, Python), financial data analysis and financial risk management, etc. The successful candidate is expected to participate in the curriculum development process for the MFM program and to supervise MFM students on research and industrial projects. The teaching load is 1 or 2 courses per semester depending on departmental need.

The initial term is 1 year and is renewable subject to availability of funds. The starting date is January 1, 2018 or August 16, 2018.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other related areas from an accredited institution (or equivalent) by the starting date.
